Case # 137:
Misha Nonoo + ALDO Pop-Up
We worked with fashion designer Misha Nonoo to unveil her latest collection, partnering with ALDO Rise. Misha created the first fashion show exclusively released on Instagram, and TINSEL designed the space. It was a pop-up shop for New York Fashion Week, and the brief was to create a space inspired by Misha's British roots: a tea shop–with touches of a chic Parisian newsstand.
Set in picturesque Fort Gansvoort in the heart of The Meatpacking District, Team TINSEL wanted to create an eye-catching vignette up front, to entice all of Fashion Week masses. As an invite-only event, we wanted to pique the curiosity of passers-by. The appeal was simple: create an oasis and respite from the hubbub of Fashion Week. Freshly brewed coffee and tea were served along with fresh juice and crumpets.
And to showcase the new collection, large screens were built into the bar, with the Instagram show looping throughout the event. Stations with iPads were also scattered throughout the space so editors could take a closer look at the collection.
Tea and crumpets? How could you go wrong. The pop-up was a success, and editors and fashionistas rejoiced.
