KLM Royal Dutch Airlines

It started because KLM Royal Dutch Airlines just needed tulips to decorate a pop-up shop they were building on Mulberry Street in Nolita. We saw their kernel of an idea and ran with it, creating a visually-arresting focal point for the entire space.

We sketched out dodecahedron clouds, cut, and folded them into place. While that was happening, we folded over 500 paper airplanes in various shades of KLM blue, making us dream of blue skies and faraway places.

The event was a huge success. New Yorkers everywhere came for waffles and a chance to win tickets to Amsterdam. They stayed to take photos of the installation and post it far and wide on Instagram.
